Konkin Tax and Accounting is a small, principal-led practice founded and operated by Elaine Konkin, who brings over 25 years of experience in tax and accounting.

Throughout her career, Elaine has worked with individuals and small businesses collectively representing several million dollars in annual revenue. Her experience includes hundreds of tax filings, ongoing bookkeeping and reporting, and complex business tax returns such as 1031 Tax Deferred Exchange or IRS Offer in Compromise, as well as support for clients with evolving or complex financial needs with both businesses and individuals.

Elaine has professional experience working as a QuickBooks support agent, giving her in-depth familiarity with the platform from both the user and system perspectives. She works across a range of fields, including service-based businesses, independent professionals, nonprofits, and clients with multi-state or international reporting considerations. Her work has also included long-term engagements with small businesses that have grown significantly over time, requiring increasingly complex reporting and planning as operations expand.

Elaine approaches her work with a strong sense of responsibility toward the people and information entrusted to her.
